AS SINEMA CONTINUES COZYING UP TO RIGHT-WING DONORS, HER WEBSITE DROPS ACT BLUE IN FAVOR OF RIGHT-WING PLATFORM

Sinema’s campaign site began directing donors to Anedot, a rival payment processor used primarily by Republicans and conservatives

After an explosive story released earlier today outlining Sinema’s cozying up to Republican lobbyists and donors, as well as the fact that Sinema has switched fundraising platforms, Replace Sinema released the following statement:

“The bombshell Politico reporting today revealed the real Kyrsten Sinema: someone who ridicules others for a cheap laugh. That’s likely why Sinema hides from her constituents in favor of cozying up to Wall Street and corporate lobbyists, and why she left the Democratic Party when her polling showed she wouldn’t win a primary. And why it’s no surprise that Sinema has joined the likes of Lauren Boebert and Project Veritas in fundraising off of this right-wing platform,” said Sacha Haworth, spokesperson for Replace Sinema.

After Sinema left the Democratic party in December, and after her Democratic consultants abandoned ship, there was speculation over whether or not ActBlue, the preeminent fundraising platform for Democrats, would allow Sinema to stay on their site as an independent. Now Sinema has redirected the donate button on her website away from ActBlue and toward Anedot, which was founded by a former Republican congressional candidate and caters to a host of Republican candidates and conservative political entities

In early March, ActBlue changed their policy to include “Independent candidates with a history of caucusing with Democrats” – but that evidently wasn’t enough to keep Sinema happy (and ActBlue is likely reconsidering this partnership now they know she tells rooms of lobbyists that she doesn’t caucus with Democrats).

Sinema’s record, from being the roadblock to several landmark bills, giving a thumbs down to raising the minimum wage to voting to rollback oversight on big banks to delivering billions in tax loopholes to Wall Street, shows exactly where her priorities lie – and it’s not with hardworking Arizonans.
