Despite the winner being called weeks ago, Republican Kari Lake has refused to concede the Arizona governor’s race to Democrat Katie Hobbs and is instead continuing to pursue frivolous lawsuits for which her lawyers have already been sanctioned. Yesterday, U.S. Senator Kyrsten Sinema was asked directly by journalist Nicole Crites, “Kari Lake is still refusing to concede. What would you tell her?” Talk about a softball! And yet Sinema wouldn’t even answer the question! Instead, Sinema launched into the following word salad: “You know, Arizonans had another election where we can celebrate that each of us exercised our democratic values and voted for the candidate that we preferred, and like all of our elected officials across Arizona, I have confidence in our county and our state elections departments, and I’m looking forward to working with all of the folks who were re-elected in Arizona and those who were newly elected.” View the full clip HERE. Is Sinema so afraid of alienating her Republican friends that she won’t even call on Kari Lake to concede??? Of course, this comes after multiple reports that Sinema did virtually nothing to help Hobbs (or any other Democrat for that matter) secure victory in Arizona. While Hobbs and incumbent Senator Mark Kelly fought tooth and nail to keep dangerous, right-wing candidates like Lake and Blake Masters out of office, Sinema was out shopping in Paris and cozying up to Mitch McConnell. QUOTE FROM PRIMARY SINEMA: “Pathetic. Kyrsten Sinema continues to speak out of both sides of her mouth. She’s so consumed with sidling up to Republicans that she refuses to call a spade a spade. Kari Lake should concede, and Kyrsten Sinema should stop providing cover to election deniers. Sinema should apologize for doing absolutely nothing to elect Katie Hobbs and other Democrats across Arizona. She’s proven once again, she only cares about herself. That’s why we’re going to primary her and replace her with someone who will put Arizonans first.” ### |
