| ICYMI — Today at his weekly press briefing, Senator Majority Leader Chuck Schumer was asked directly if he will back Kyrsten Sinema in a Democratic primary. He didn’t answer. Here’s a response from the Primary Sinema campaign: “Kyrsten Sinema has spent the last two years obstructing President Biden’s agenda and hurting Arizonans in the process – which is why she is deeply unpopular with voters of every political stripe. So it’s no wonder that the Democratic leader is reluctant to endorse her. “Instead of campaigning for Democrats in the lead up to the midterms, Sinema is spending her time speaking at Mitch McConnell’s vanity center and defending the filibuster. Sinema is Mitch McConnell’s favorite Democrat because she empowers him at her constituents’ expense. If it weren’t for Sinema, the Senate would have already passed voting rights legislation, codified Roe v. Wade, protected marriage equality, and more.
