We’ve noted that the bulk of Kyrsten Sinema’s Q1 fundraising haul comes from Wall Street (including private equity and hedge funds), corporate PACs, lobbyists, and Republican donors.
Now here’s a look at the other side of the ledger, Sinema’s disbursements for Q1:
- Security: $66,170
- $60,221 directly to TOA Group
- (This continues an odd pattern of Sinema’s disbursements to this company, whose only officer is Tulsi Gabbard’s sister)
- This is a crazy high amount compared to other senators (Sen. Kelly, for example, spent $10,600)
- Consulting:
- $67,800 to the fundraising firm Fulkerson and Kennedy
- $23,770 to video production firm D-Mak Productions
- $10,000 to Fose+McKay for a marketing retainer
- Reminder: most of Sinema’s consultants quit.
- Meals: $4,394
- $850 on one meal at Don Angie, a Michelin starred NY restaurant
- $930 on two meals at 11 Madison Park, a NY restaurant named best restaurant in the world in 2017
- Lodging: $7,161
- $5,718 on two trips to NY Edition, a luxury hotel in NYC
- Airfare: $6,317
“Nice to see that even after switching party labels, Kyrsten Sinema has continued her questionable spending on luxury meals, hotels, and a security detail to prevent her from meeting any Arizonans,” said Sacha Haworth, Replace Sinema PAC spokeswoman.
