REPLACE SINEMA PAC POLL SHOWS TOSS-UP BETWEEN LAKE, GALLEGO; SINEMA HAS NO PATH TO VICTORY

The poll also shows a majority of voters are less likely to vote for Sinema after hearing about her luxury spending scandals

Sinema Favorability is 26%; Unfavorability is 48%

New polling among 2024 registered Arizona voters commissioned by Change for Arizona 2024/Replace Sinema PAC shows a majority (52%) of voters are less likely to vote for Sinema after hearing about Sinema’s luxury spending and legislative favors for Wall Street, including 55% of Democrats, 51% of Republicans, and 51% of Independents.

Like many other polls, this one shows Sinema is an agent of chaos with no shot at victory. The poll also shows how close the race already is, with Kari Lake and Ruben Gallego neck and neck in both a two-way and three-way race.

Three way:

Gallego 36%

Lake 35%

Sinema 17%

Two-way:

Gallego 45%

Lake 46%

Not Sure 10%

While Sinema has not yet officially declared, she has taken several steps to signal that she is in the race – including announcing she has $10.8 million cash on hand, convening a strategy session with consultants to plot her campaign, and pitching donors on a “path to victory.”

Sinema’s leaked donor memo claimed she will win 60-70% of Independents and 25-35% of Republicans; however this poll shows her starting with a mere 27% of Independents and 15% of Republicans. Once they hear the negative message against her, that support drops to 20% of Independents and 12% of Republicans. And of course, her support from her former party remains abysmal, with only 10% of Democrats saying they will vote for her.

“Poll after poll, including this one, shows that Kyrsten Sinema continues to be so unpopular in her home state that she risks throwing Arizona’s seat to an extremist Republican like Kari Lake, jeopardizing Democrats’ majority in the Senate,” said Sacha Haworth, Replace Sinema spokesperson. “What’s more, this survey proves that Sinema has even further to fall: once Arizonans hear how she betrayed them to cater to Wall Street and pad her campaign account to fund her luxury lifestyle, they are even less interested in voting for her. Meanwhile, as the most popular candidate who continues to outraise Sinema by millions, this is Ruben Gallego’s race to lose.”

The poll was conducted January 5-6, 2024, by Public Policy Polling among 590 registered voters in Arizona. The sampling error for this survey is plus or minus 4.0 percentage points. Party ID: 36% Republican, 33% Democrat, 31% Independent. Full poll results here
